Tihar in Nepal

 In Nepal, Deepawali (called Tihar or Yamapanchak) is a unique and vibrant festival, celebrated over five days with distinct customs that blend reverence for nature, animals, and familial bonds. Here’s how Tihar is celebrated in Nepal:

First Day: Kaag Tihar (Worship of Crows)

• The festival begins by honoring crows, known as messengers of death. People offer rice, sweets, and other food to crows on this day, believing it brings good fortune and drives away sorrow.

Second Day: Kukur Tihar (Worship of Dogs)

• The second day is dedicated to dogs, regarded as protectors and messengers. People garland dogs with marigold flowers, apply tika (a red mark on the forehead), and feed them special treats as a sign of respect and gratitude.
• This day emphasizes the bond between humans and animals, and it’s celebrated with great joy.

Third Day: Gai Tihar and Laxmi Puja (Worship of Cows and Goddess Lakshmi)

• The morning begins with Gai Tihar, where cows are worshipped as symbols of prosperity and sacred animals. People decorate cows with garlands, tika, and offer them the best food.
• In the evening, homes are decorated with oil lamps, candles, and colorful rangolis (artistic patterns on the floor), and families perform Lakshmi Puja (worship of the goddess of wealth). This day is the most vibrant, with lights and songs creating a festive atmosphere.

Nepal Flooding affecting big cities

Hundreds of people have died in various disasters such as floods and landslides in different parts of Nepal since last week.

Flooding and landslides caused by continuous rainfall have killed so many people in the country while hundreds are still missing.

Rain began pouring down for two days, with low-lying neighborhoods in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, inundated by surging floodwaters.

The Kathmandu valley recorded 9.4 inches of rain in the 24 hours, it was the highest rainfall recorded in the capital since at least 1970.

Several roads and major highways were blocked by landslides triggered by the rainfall. Travels are either banned or discouraged due to the bad road conditions.

Many houses were flooded in Kathmandu and some houses close to rivers even swept away.

ट्रम्पको आफ्नो फ्लोरिडा गोल्फ क्लबमा हत्याको प्रयास

रिपब्लिकन राष्ट्रपति पदका उम्मेदवार आफ्नो जीवनमा हत्याको  प्रयासबाट बाँचेको नौ हप्ता पछि आइतवार  उनको फ्लोरिडाको वेस्ट पाम बीचमा रहेको गोल्फ क्लबमा अर्को   हत्याको प्रयास बाट बचेका  छन् , पूर्व राष्ट्रपतिले आफू सकुशल रहेको बताए ।

पाम बीच काउन्टी शेरिफ रिक ब्राडशाले भने, अमेरिकी गोप्य सेवा एजेन्टहरूले एक एके-शैलीको राइफल र  स्कोपको साथ भएका एक व्यक्तिलाई गोली हान्यो जब ट्रम्प नजिकै गल्फ खेल्दै  थिए। ब्राडशाले भने कि बन्दुकधारीसँग बारमा दुईवटा ब्याकप्याक र एउटा GoPro क्यामेरा झुण्डिएको थियो, र उनी ट्रम्पबाट करिब 400 गजदेखि 500 ​​गज टाढा थिए र झाँगमा लुकेका थिए जबकि पूर्व राष्ट्रपतिले नजिकै गल्फ खेलिरहेका थिए। उक्त व्यक्तिले हतियार छोड्यो र एसयूभीमा भाग्यो, र पछि छिमेकी काउन्टीमा हिरासतमा लिइयो।

"कुनै पनि कुराले मलाई रोक्दैन । म कहिल्यै आत्मसमर्पण गर्दिन!" उहाँले भन्नुभयो।

 हामीले धेरै अनौठा कुराहरू सुनेका र देखेका थियौं। यहाँ नयाँ अनौठो कथा छ। दुबईकी राजकुमारीले डिभोर्स परफर्म लिएर आएकी छन् ।  युएईका उपराष्ट्रपति तथा दुबईका शासक शेख मोहम्मद बिन रसिद अल मकतूमकी छोरी राजकुमारी शेखा महरा चर्चामा छिन् । 

उनले हालै आफ्ना पति शेख माना बिन मोहम्मद बिन रशिद बिन मना अल मकतौमसँग सम्बन्ध विच्छेद गरेर चर्चामा आएकी छिन् । अहिले महराले नयाँ परफ्युम लन्च गरेर मानिसको ध्यान तानेकी छिन् ।

 उनले आफ्नो परफ्युमको नाम ‘डिभोर्स’ राखेका कारण चर्चामा आएकी हुन् । यसका कारण सामाजिक सञ्जालमा महराको निकै चर्चा भइरहेको छ ।

हामी सबैलाई थाहा छ सेलिब्रेटीहरू आफ्नै ब्रान्ड बनाउँछन्। यहाँ केहि अनौठो परफ्युम छन्।
