The Story of Berlin Walls's "Wife"

Most of us may have heard about the historic Berlin Wall, some may have got opportunity to visit and see it, feel it physically and most of us may have read, heard or watched it in books, newspaper and television.

Beside it’s historic aspects and it’s physical structure, we may rarely think any other things related to it. For most of us, it is just a wall, …..a historic wall… and that’s all.

But, a woman told an amazing and interesting story, who fell in love with the Berlin Wall and now believes they are husband and wife.

A Swedish woman with a passion for inanimate objects revealed that she has been married to the Berlin Wall for 29 years. Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer, 54, whose surname means Berlin Wall in German, said she fell in love with the Berlin Wall in childhood, when she saw "his" pictures on TV.

She began collecting "his" pictures and saving up for visits. And it is revealed that on her sixth trip in 1979, they tied the knot before a handful of guests.

In an amazing statement, she even claimed that her husband is not only attractive but rather “sexy”. Comparing to the Great Wall of China she said the former is attractive, but it's too thick and her "husband" is sexier than the Great Wall.

While she remains a virgin with humans, she insists she had a full, loving relationship with the wall.

"It's not just pleasuring myself. I want to please my partner when we make love."

While the rest of mankind rejoiced when the Berlin Wall was largely torn down in 1989, its "wife" was horrified.

She's never been back and now has only model to remind her of "his" former glory.

"We all have to live on this earth and the only way to peace, friendship and freedom is accepting and respecting even if one doesn't understand. As long as nobody is injured all is well," said Berliner-Mauer.

A wall as a husband ! sounds just bizarre . However, people can have strangest of passions.

The Berlin Wall on the other hand will always remind people of a despotic communist era that aimed to encage people in the pretext of giving them a utopia of the other world ! We in Nepal seem to be moving towards making our own Berlin-Nepal Wall !

Thats true we all have to live on this earth and the only way to peace, friendship and freedom is accepting and respecting even if one doesn't understand. I guess this is the true meaning of humanity inspite of what we have seen in nepal where humanity means life of one side shouldn't be threatened, it doesnt matter what happen to the other side.
But again Berlin wall was the result of a dictatorship, so one day it came to the end.
