इरानले जोर्डन र बहराइनस्थित अमेरिकी सैन्य आधार शिविरहरूमा आक्रमण

इरान र अमेरिकाबीचको युद्ध 'बिरालो र मुसाको खेल' जस्तै भएको छ। युद्धविराम धेरै पटक तोडिएको छ। अमेरिकाद्वारा आफ्नो हेलिकप्टर खसालिएको बदलामा इरानमा आक्रमण गरेपछि इरानले जोर्डन र बहराइनस्थित अमेरिकी आधारहरूमा भर्खरै आक्रमण गरेको हो। यसले अप्रिलमा लागू भएको युद्धविरामलाई गम्भीर तनावमा पारेको छ।

यसअघि गत हप्ता इरान र इजरायलबीचको आक्रमण छोटो समयका लागि पुनः सुरु भएपछि युद्धविरामले ठूलो परीक्षाको सामना गरेको थियो। यस घटनाले विश्वकपको पूर्वसन्ध्यामा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरबाटै संयमता अपनाउन आह्वान गरिएको छ, जुन विश्वकप अमेरिकाले संयुक्त रूपमा आयोजना गर्दैछ र इरान पनि यसमा सहभागी हुँदैछ। अमेरिका र इजरायलले इरानमाथि गरेको आक्रमणबाट सुरु भएको यस द्वन्द्वले पूरै क्षेत्रलाई अस्तव्यस्त बनाएको छ र यसको असर विश्वभर परेको छ। धेरै देशहरूमा या त इन्धनको अभाव छ वा इन्धनको मूल्य आकासिएको छ।

के यो पनि रुस र युक्रेनबीच जस्तै अर्को युद्ध बन्नेछ? आधुनिक युद्ध सजिलै जितिँदैन। यदि यो फेरि कहिल्यै नटुङ्गिने युद्ध बन्यो भने, विश्वले ठूलो मूल्य चुकाउनुपर्नेछ।

 Thousands of migrant workers died in Qatar during the preparation and construction for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The exact number remains a subject of intense debate due to a lack of transparent investigations by Qatari officials.

Human rights groups and investigative reports—such as the widely cited Guardian investigation—estimate that over 6,500 migrant workers from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka) died in Qatar from all causes between 2010 and 2020.  Because Qatar embarked on a massive $200 billion transformation—building not just stadiums, but a new metro system, highways, an airport, and an entire city (Lusail)—the vast majority of these workers were heavily intertwined with the World Cup boom.

The primary factors that contributed to these tragic losses include:

• Extreme Heat: Workers labored outdoors in summer temperatures exceeding 40° C (104° F) with high humidity.  Young, healthy men were performing grueling physical labor in temperatures reaching up to 122°F (50°C). Intense heat stress causes fatal heatstrokes, dehydration, and sudden cardiac arrest, which were systematically masked on death certificates to avoid corporate or state accountability.
• Cardiac Arrest: Many death certificates categorized fatalities as "natural causes" or "cardiac arrest" without further medical explanation or autopsy.
• Workplace Accidents:  : The leading physical triggers of severe trauma and death included falling from high, un-barricaded scaffolding, getting struck by falling heavy machinery or debris, and road traffic accidents during transport. 
• Substandard Housing:  : Away from the glitz of the new stadiums, workers were housed in heavily crowded, unhygienic industrial labor camps.  Housings were cramped, unsanitary, and poorly ventilated labor camps compromised overall health

India raises fuel prices as rupee nears record low

 The Indian rupee has fallen over 6% this year amid high oil prices, foreign outflows, and geopolitical tensions. The Indian rupee, which has been sliding to new lows in recent sessions, is expected to remain under pressure on Friday, with rising U.S. Treasury yields boosting the dollar and compounding the already significant strain from high crude oil prices.

The rupee is expected to open in the 95.80–95.90 range, traders say, after settling at 95.7625 per dollar on Thursday. It hit a lifetime low of 95.9575 per dollar in Thursday trading before paring some losses.

State-run retailers raised petrol and diesel prices by 3 rupees per liter as the rupee struggles near record lows. The central bank of India is selling reserves and exploring measures to boost dollar inflows to stabilize the currency.

हान्टाभाइरस के हो?

हान्टाभाइरस (Hantavirus) मुसाबाट सर्ने भाइरसहरूको एउटा समूह हो, जसले मानिसमा गम्भीर र घातक श्वासप्रश्वास वा मिर्गौला सम्बन्धी रोगहरू निम्त्याउन सक्छ। मानिसहरू सामान्यतया संक्रमित मुसाको पिसाब, दिसा वा र्‍यालबाट निस्कने हावाका कणहरू सासको माध्यमबाट लिँदा यो भाइरसको चपेटामा पर्छन्, जुन प्रायः फोहोर ठाउँहरू सफा गर्दा हुने गर्छ। यो मानिसमा सर्ने अन्य धेरै भाइरसहरू जस्तै हो। यो कोभिडसँग पनि मिल्दोजुल्दो छ, जसले विश्वलाई नै ठप्प पारेको थियो।

हान्टाभाइरस र कोभिड-१९ बीचको मुख्य भिन्नता यो हो कि हान्टाभाइरस मुख्यतया मुसाबाट मानिसमा सर्ने रोग (zoonotic disease) हो, जबकि कोभिड-१९ मानिसबाट मानिसमा सर्ने अत्यन्त संक्रामक श्वासप्रश्वास भाइरस हो। दुवैले गम्भीर श्वासप्रश्वास समस्या निम्त्याउन सके पनि, प्रति-केसको आधारमा हान्टाभाइरस कोभिड भन्दा निकै बढी घातक छ। तर, यो मानिसहरू बीच प्रभावकारी रूपमा नसर्ने हुनाले यसले महामारीको रूप लिने सम्भावना भने निकै कम हुन्छ।

हालै क्रुज जहाजमा देखिएको प्रकोपमा 'एन्डेस स्ट्रेन' (Andes strain) देखिएको छ, जुन मानिसबाट मानिसमा सर्ने ज्ञात भएको एक मात्र प्रकार हो। यद्यपि, यसको संक्रमणका लागि अझै पनि अत्यन्त नजिकको र घनिष्ठ सम्पर्क आवश्यक पर्दछ। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (WHO) का महानिर्देशकका अनुसार, "एन्डेस भाइरसको लक्षण देखिन लाग्ने समय (incubation period) ६ हप्तासम्म हुन सक्ने भएकाले थप केसहरू रिपोर्ट हुन सक्छन्। यो एक गम्भीर घटना भए तापनि, WHO ले जनस्वास्थ्य जोखिमलाई भने कमै आँकलन गरेको छ।"

२०२६ मा आयोजना हुने विश्वकप इतिहासकै सबैभन्दा ठूलो फुटबल प्रतियोगिता बन्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। FIFA द्वारा आयोजना गरिने यस प्रतियोगितामा ४८ टोली सहभागी हुनेछन्, जसले टिकटको माग, मूल्य र प्रतिस्पर्धालाई अझै रोचक बनाएको छ।

विश्वकपका टिकटहरू मुख्यतः FIFA को आधिकारिक प्लेटफर्ममार्फत बिक्री भइरहेका छन्। टिकट बिक्री विभिन्न चरणमा गरिन्छ—पहिलो चरणमा लटरी प्रणाली, त्यसपछि “पहिले आउनेलाई पहिले” आधारमा, र अन्तिम समयमा बाँकी टिकट खुला बिक्रीमा राखिन्छ। साथै, आधिकारिक पुनर्विक्रय (Resale) प्रणाली पनि उपलब्ध छ, जहाँ फ्यानहरूले टिकट किनबेच गर्न सक्छन्।

सामान्यतया समूह चरणका खेलहरूका टिकट करिब $50 (नेपाली रुपैयाँमा झण्डै ६,५००) बाट सुरु  हुन्छ। फाइनल टिकटहरू  $10,000 वा त्योभन्दा बढी (नेपाली रुपैयाँमा लाखौँसम्म) पुग्न सक्छन्।

 २०२६ फिफा विश्वकपको टिकट मूल्यले नयाँ कीर्तिमान कायम गरेको छ, जसमा फाइनल खेलको पुन: बिक्री (resale) टिकटको मूल्य प्रति टिकट २० लाख डलर (करिब २६ करोड नेपाली रुपैयाँ) भन्दा बढी तोकिएको छ।

हालसम्म विश्वकपका लाखौँ टिकटहरू बिक्री भइसकेका छन्, र कुल उपलब्ध टिकट संख्या करिब ६–७ मिलियन हुने अनुमान छ। माग अत्यन्तै उच्च भएकाले धेरैजसो टिकटहरू छिट्टै सकिने सम्भावना रहेको छ।

यस विश्वकपमा परम्परागत रूपमा बलिया मानिने टोलीहरूमा Argentina, France , Brazil , England र Spain  रहेका छन्। कमजोर टोलीहरू New Zealand र Uzbekistan  रहेका छन्। तर विश्वकपमा कहिलेकाहीँ कमजोर टोलीहरूले पनि अप्रत्याशित प्रदर्शन गर्न सक्छन्।
